SHAME THEY PULLED THE PLUG ON THIS FRANCHISE!

DJ Hero vinyl

I found this game not expensive, so I decided to purchase it. I'm aware that a lot of people were put off by the lack of party play and after having a lot of plastic instruments lying around, I understand why a consumer would hate the idea of paying more for another one (plus they take space around the house). But this game was extremely fun, actually I had more fun with it than with most of the Guitar Hero / Rock band games, then again, I'm a big fan of electronic music and was pleased to see a lot of creative mixes. I've never liked hip hop mixes but they did them well in this game, I wasn't really skipping them at least. There are sections in some songs that give you a bit of creativity to spice the song with samples or crossfading. I enjoyed the mixes a lot. Too bad that they won't be releasing DJ hero 3, I would have loved to play it. El Salvador "Uncle"

Fun to play and Good shoulder workout!

DJHero Playstation3

I myself am a professional DJ, and thought I'd give it a try. I found its fun and is truly addicting, the songs and beats are Great, and can keep you busy for a while. Although not as hard and complex as live DJing, it will challenge you and keep you wanting to out-do your last score. I do recommend this game for all ages! Overall this is a fun experience. Even more so with another player on same console with another turntable. You can even have someone use a mic to the words of the songs.I'm sure it's an enjoyable experience however. My shoulder got a good workout scratching with the turntable. Pick it up and play it. You can't go wrong with all the songs they have in the game. "by Infernal Ninja

Well, Brothers and Sisters, How Wrong I was. I LOVE THIS GAME!

Well, Brothers and Sisters, How Wrong I was. I LOVE THIS GAME!

I was therefore very skeptical about the new "spin" on this latest entry of the genre and brand, DJ Hero. I hardly kept it on my gaming forecast radar for all the bad memories of GH past and the fact that I figured it'd just be more of the same and slanted to rake the pockets of hip hop fans. Well, brothers and sisters, I am happy to report how wrong I was. I LOVE THIS GAME! I saw it on display at a retail store. Everyone was crowded around and I became bold enough to start an inquiry. Is it hard? How much like GH is it? How are the songs? Is it fun? Well, long story short, somehow I dared myself to buy it for the entry level price, $120. I had a friend coming over that night and so I thought we might both give it a try and, if I didn't like it, maybe I'd trade it to him for half the price and cut my losses. Well, I got it home, hooked it up rather easily, started the in-game tutorials and never looked back. DJ Hero takes what was right with GH and practically fixed…

Don’t be a hater – be a supporter! The Reasons Why

Don’t be a hater – be a supporter! The Reasons Why

So there I was unsure if I could play DJ Hero, I have no idea what I am doing, never been to a club in my life, but I can play this! I am okay at Guitar Hero, play hard on guitar and drums, but scratching is another matter. But the controls are easy, start on beginer mode if you are unsure. The notes and gameplay make more sense when hearing actual music. Watching game play videos online didn't help me to feel like I could do it. The tutorials are easy and really get you familiar with the settings. The game doesn't cramp up my hand like the guitar does, and I don't need to sit in a certain position for the best play (even though a flat surface would help). The game is good. Now if you want to learn real DJing this game won't help you, but it WILL help you appreciate what DJ's do. I mean to think of the beats like they do. Who would know to mix songs like that, and the exactness you should have for record to sound good. They are artist and I apprI must say I thought DJ just stood…

Rock it!A Total Blast To Play!

Rock it!A Total Blast To Play!

“This game is dope! I got it for my son for Christmas and we have been playing it non-stop. The mixes on this game are incredible and you will not be disappointed in the way the turntable works. It is very intuitive and is flawless in design. You will be jammin all night long. Do yourself a favor and make the purchase not now but right now.” by Mr. Nixon, 29 December 2010 “Being a lifelong game player who started out on the old pong style games on a black & white tv I’ve played a wide assortment of platforms and games and the latest that I’m into are the various music games. Yes they can seem to be pretty much all the same after awhile (push this button, strum that button, hit drum pad) but the way I look at them is as an extension of the listening pleasure of the music with the ability to interact with what I’m listening to. Since the first DJ Hero I have been wondering if I should take the step and after playing an online demo I decided to give it a go and purchased the DJ Hero 2 turntable bundle and…

An Incredible Rhythm Game

“I have a long history with Rhythm Games since they were first released years ago starting with Guitar Hero. I have played GH 1-3, own GH World Tour and Aerosmith and Rockband 1 and 2 with all the common large plastic accessories. In no was I looking for another Rhythm Game to add to my collection. I felt that I had plenty of time and experience with these games that I was very likely done with the genre. DJ Hero came and I resisted the urge to purchase. DJ Hero 2 then came along and got rave reviews from both players and gaming journalists/critics. I have a great love for video games AND hiphop, so when I walked past this game at a local store and saw it marked down, I just couldn’t resist. This is easily one of my favorite games… ever. Graphics: For a rhythm game you don’t expect much. Honestly you’re not even looking at the background just the highway of notes coming down. What I really did love is that the characters are at their peak in regards to style and variety that you would expect from activision, but above all of that you get to…

PLAY THE MIXES, SHARE THE FUN WITH OVER 80 TRACKS

A LOT MORE FUN THAN EXPECTED! “I bought the game mainly because I love some of the artists featured in the game, such as Deadmau5, Tiesto, Pitbull, Chemical Brothers, and David Guetta. I have to say, it’s a lot more fun than I expected! The songs chosen to be blended together are just awesome, with some mixes that you would never think to put together. I also like that you get to play with popular DJs as your character, such as Deadmau5 or Tiesto, but heads up – you have to win them to play them! ” Audrey, November 16, 2010 DJ HERO SOUNDTRACKS * Produced and Mixed by A-Trak: Justice – “D.A.N.C.E.” Remix Naughty By Nature – “O.P.P.”5Jackson 5 – “ABC” * Produced and Mixed by Diplo: Kanye West – “Heartless”5DJ Shadow – “Midnight In A Perfect World” Major Lazer feat.
